Michael Doohan on his friendship with Monty

Michael Doohan has won five consecutive 500cc world motorcycle racing titles.

Monty was bulletproof he could do anything and he would get into anything to make things happen……A lot of fun times with Monty...so I just had to love that about that guy, he had a passion for everything and he seemed to make things happen.

We were just friends and that was really all that came from it and I didn’t want anything from him and I don’t think he wanted anything from me so I was…I was just happy to be friends with his team.
